What counts as an action item
A commitment with a doer: "I'll send the draft on Thursday", "Can you check the numbers before Friday?" The AI pairs the task with the speaker who took it, or the person it was addressed to, and with any date that was said out loud. Vague intentions - "we should look at that" - are listed as open points rather than tasks.
Run the meeting so the list is good
Two habits make the automated list nearly complete: say the name when assigning ("Ayşe, can you...") and say the date. A wrap-up at the end - "so, Ayşe has the draft by Thursday, I have the numbers by Friday" - is the single most useful minute of the call for this purpose.
- Name the owner out loud
- Say the deadline, even roughly
- Recap the commitments in the last minute
Read the list in NoteBase
After uploading the recording on the Meeting Summarizer page, the action items appear under the decisions: each with its owner and deadline, and a timestamp back to where it was agreed. Items with no owner sit in their own group at the bottom - those are the ones to assign before anyone leaves the thread.
Move them where the work happens
Send the note to Notion and the action items arrive as a list you can turn into database rows, or export the recap as PDF for the people who were not there.
